Weinbeschreibung: Hochrote schillernde Farbe, Aroma von reifen Früchten und abgerundeten Gerbstoffen, leichter Hauch eines Holzgeschmacks. Ausgereift, zart, elegant.

Rebsorten: 40 Jahre alte Carignan-Reben, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre

Weingut: Chateau Caraguilhes
Das Château de Caraguilhes in Saint Laurent de la Caberisse, im Herzen des Corbières, wurde im Jahre 1525 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt und war damals im Besitz der Zisterzienserabtei Fontfroide. Es umfasst heute 135 Hektar Rebfläche und 500 Hektar Garrigues mit natürlicher Fauna. Max Laurent stellt das Weingut 1990 auf biologischen Landbau um. Angebaut werden Carignac (zum Teil 50-70 Jahre alte Rebstöcke), Grenache, Syrah, Merlot. Die Lese erfolgt per Hand. Danach werden die Trauben sortiert und entsprechend der gewünschten Vinifikation auf die Gärbehälter verteilt.
